The Fat Sampler

International dairy authorities, as well as most local dairy authorities, require

the sampling of milk during the milking process. Mounting a fat sampler

enables the dairy to comply with these regulations.

Mounting the Fat Sampler

The fat sampler is mounted between the outlet port and the elbow joint to the

milk line.

Fat Sampler Operation

The fat sampler is made up of a sampling bottle and a sampler head.

Milk is sampled each time the meter body is emptied. As the milk flows out of

the milk meter body, a small quantity is diverted by the sampler head into the

sampler bottle. This method assures sampling during all stages of the milking

session.

NOTE:

During normal milking, when not sampling, a sampler

replacement tube fills the gap reserved for the fat sampler.
